Founded in 2026 and based in Kolkata, India, the club fields men’s and women’s rugby sevens squads under one badge. The brand promise is “Rugby. Love भी.” — ferocious in contest, gracious in character. KBT is owned by Hunch Ventures and founded by Karanpal Singh. The club is the modern crest of a city reclaiming what started in Calcutta in 1872, when the Calcutta Football Club became one of the oldest rugby clubs outside the British Isles.
